2010-04-01: New Global Davit Internet Service Portal

(Bassum) Global Davit opens their own Online Service Portal. From now on, service partners can download Hatecke reports from our website and Global Davit's reports from www.global-davit.de only. For further information contact service[at]global-davit.de

(Krautsand) Recently, we trained and authorized FØNIX Sp/f for annual and 5-year services and maintenance in the Faroe Islands and Iceland. 

2009-12-03: GL Comment on SOLAS III, Reg. 20.11
(Hamburg) Read the latest comment from Germanischer Lloyd “GL Procedure for yearly test and 5-yearly test for Launching Appliances and Release Gear”. The definitions of “Service Personnel” and “Properly Trained Personnel” have been changed fundamentally.

2009-07-23: Concentrated Inspection Campaign
(The Hague/Tokyo) Be prepared for a “Concentrated Inspection Campaign (CIC)” on SOLAS ch. III by Paris and Tokyo MoU from September until November 2009. It will be carried out in conjunction with regular Port State Control inspections.

The maritime authorities of the member states are focussing on the following issues:

  • Condition of lifeboat launching appliances, especially ”ON-load” release mechanisms
  • Crew’s familiarity with launching, recovery and maintenance of lifeboats and davits
  • Complete documentation about testing, maintenance, inspections

 They will check compliance with SOLAS ch. III on ships calling in ports of member nations.

The used questionnaire will be published on Pars and Tokoy MoUs’ websites on www.tokyo-mou.org and www.parismou.org in the first week of August.

(London) In June, the Maritime Safety Committee revised its Circular MSC.1/Circ.1206. They amended recommendations made by the DE52 working group.

Recently, we trained and authorized "Fine Ocean Marine Industrial Corp." for service and maintenance on Hatecke products. The company is located in Kaohsiung.

2009-03-20: First Training 2009

(Krautsand) Ten participants from our service partners have been trained and authorized for service and maintenance on our lifesaving equipment.
